- Phil Brenner has been a professional Saxophonist, Clarinetist, and Flautist in the Kansas City area for more than 25 years. He is both an active performer and teacher.
- As a performer Phil has played and recorded with Kevin Mahogany, The Boulevard Big Band, Mike Smith, and Tom DeMasters. Phil has performed with The Kansas City Symphony, The Temptations, The Impressions, Martha Reeves and The Vandellas, Patti Austin, and Marilyn Maye.
- Phil has performed with the broadway touring companies of “The Producers”, “White Christmas”, and “A Chorus Line”. He also performed in the KC Reps “Cabaret”.
- Phil holds a Bachelor of Music from Pittsburg State University and did Masters study at Oklahoma State University. Phil has been teaching at the academy for 28 years.
