- Originally from Topeka, KS, Miss Hoover has spent over 14 years living & teaching in the New Orleans metro. After graduating from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with double masters degrees and serving as minister of music at several area churches, she began teaching full time at the Louisiana Academy of Performing Arts and at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. In July 2022, Miss Hoover made the move back to Kansas and began teaching and performing locally in the KC Metro. After teaching for music schools in Louisiana & Kansas, she has opened her own private music studio in Prairie Village, Kansas.
- Miss Hoover has over twenty years of performing experience and has coached many students to successful recitals, auditions, and other exciting opportunities. Some of her notable performances and accomplishments include being the inaugural vocalist in the Topeka High Jazz Band, Soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah at St. Louis Cathedral, and directing the Spring Broadway & Film Revue as an adjunct music faculty member at NOBTS. She plays weekly at area churches through the Artist Community Project and performs in and around KC with local artists and bands.
- With years of experience teaching all ages from 4 to 90, there isn’t much she hasn’t encountered in the classroom. Miss Hoover can’t wait to help you start your musical journey!
